Conservation: 50 Years…50 Million Trees

Working with the Arbor Day Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service in a powerful public/private/non-profit partnership, our charitable foundation is underwriting the planting of 50 million trees over 50 years in National Forests around the country. The grant will also fund tree-planting initiatives in international locations where we do business, including Europe and Canada. In total, it is a gift of $50 million in today's dollars.

As just one element of our larger environmental platform, the program is a gift back to the natural world. Other efforts focused on conservation include $100,000 to the Everglades Foundation in the State of Florida, $30 million to the Missouri Botanical Garden for worldwide plant research and a $5 million gift to maintain historic Forest Park, one of the nation's largest urban parks, in our company's headquarters city of St. Louis.
